Important points to be kept in mind while buying cricket gear online

Buying anything online can be a little tricky, more so while buying cricket equipment. However, with the important key points in your mind, buying the gears will be a cake walk.
Well, you could buy a cricket kit or buy each item separately. However, in both the cases, you will have to be extremely careful about the features and quality of these products.

Features of the equipment

Features are absolutely important while buying cricket gears.

Cricket bat

The sweet spot of the cricket bat is an important feature that needs to be checked and approved by the player. Most often players choose the classical middle sweet point. The grip needs to checked along with the toe guard, which is equally important. You could also ask for an ‘anti scuff’ sheet for better durability. Size of the bat needs to be checked. There is a heightwise categorization for the various sizes. For example, size 5 bat is optimal for a person whose height falls in the range of 150cm to 157 cm.

Look for foam layering or PORON XRD layering for optimum protection. Make sure they have enough ventilation and layers of padding for comfort.
On a side note, you might want to have more than one pair of gloves, for emergency cases.

Helmets

Make sure it is of the right size. Lighter helmets allow better movement abilities. Make sure it has a neck and a stem guard, this is a necessity. Ventilation should be optimum. The straps should be comfortable. Make sure the sweat pads are removable.

Cricket ball

Durability and price are to be checked for a cricket ball. Red balls are usually preferred.

Quality of the equipment

Another important thing to look for is the quality. Cricket bats are usually made of Kashmir willow or English willow, the latter being better than the for. Grades can also be checked in case you are buying from a reputed manufacturer. For gloves, the outer cover is generally made of leather. The quality of leather and padding is the must. For helmets, you should check the quality of the metal used and its durability is to be checked. It is better to buy a cricket ball from reputed manufacturers as they usually provide a guarantee.

Conclusion

Keeping these points in mind, you will be able to buy the cricket gears that guarantee quality and durability at the same time.
